Characteristic of heated Konin lakes, pollution sources, main results and conclusions

Abstract
Limnological characteristic is given for the five Konin lakes. Cooling system of two power stations, thermal and hydrological regimes are described. Degree of pollution and effects of introduction of herbivorous fishes is assessed. Long term studies are discussed and methods of protection of the lakes are proposed.
