Abstract
Changes of the environment of five lakes near Konin over 27 years are described. The lakes have constituted a cooling system of two power stations from 1958. No significant changes of thermal regimes occurred over the last years. Deterioration of oxygen conditions in the hypolimnion of deeper lakes , gradual increase of salinity, of electrolytical conductance and of sulphate content were observed.
