Abstract
Food selectivity towards planktonic crustaceans was determined for pond-reared pike in early stages of development. It was found that pike in the examined size groups preferred large Copepoda. The fish never consumed Rotatoria, Copepoda nauplii, and small crustaceans belonging to Cladocera group (Bosmina longirostris).
